Those who will change the world are usually misunderstood
Those who will change the world carry ideas often rejected, mocked at and despised
Those who will change the world don’t seem to measure up to the status
Those who will change don’t make many friends
They are hardly on the invitation list, rarely visited and never noticed
Those who will change the world find ease with things ordinary people struggle with, like reading, meditation, writing and praying
Those who will change the world don’t see and joy in drinking, womanizing, idling and spending
Those who will change the world have sleepless nights, obsessed with that idea that won’t let them sleep
Their most difficulty is trying to be normal, trying to fit, trying to be accepted
But sooner or later, they accept this bitter truth that they are not cut for the ordinary
They were not meant to be accepted by the ordinary and mediocre folks
They won’t find the support, love and acknowledgement from their peers, it must come from within.
But the beauty of all is the fact that many have walked this path before,
And in their struggles and triumphs of these past heroes, they can find solace
And when they do accept this stark reality, their journey to greatness truly begins.
